My artwork of the 1935 German Grand Prix that will be remembered as Tazio Nuvolari's greatest race and one of the greatest Motorsports victories ever. With a red Alfa Romeo P3, managed by the Ferrari team, inferior by 100 HP the Italian legend won against 9 faster German cars. Under strong rain Nuvolari was already leading when stopped to pit but lost 2 minutes and 14 seconds due to a broken refuelling pump. He was back in 6th place and with a furious race recovered to win with 2 minutes advantage on the 2nd. Third Reich officers were already on the podium to celebrate the German victory but went away infuriated. The organizers prepared only the German anthem but Tazio brought the Italian one because he was confident to win against all odds.
I started drawing since 10 years old. My favorite then : trucks and airplanes. After a while I began drawing cars, mostly Formula 1 cars as I became a racing fan after two particular wins of the famous Jim Clark on Lotus at Indianapolis and the first Cosworth engine victory (first race !) at the Dutch GP in Zandvoort. In those first years, I could never think, or dream, that one day I would become a Ferrari supplier, visiting often Maranello and having a couple job proposals from two other F1 teams. However I stopped drawing for almost 30 years due to my engineering studies and hard job.
